Financing Your Legal Education – AccessLex workshop on 10/17

AccessLex will be visiting campus to discuss questions you should be asking before, during and after law school, and to offer tools to help you make informed financial decisions every step of the way.

The presentation will take place from 4pm-5pm in room 282 of the Knight Law Center on Thursday, 10/17/2019.

AccessLex is a non-profit organization that aims inform students of the economic realities of law school without limiting their aspirations. They offer a number of resources including Analytix, which breaks down and compares law school statistics; AccessConnex, a free student loan helpline for law students; and XploreJD, a brand new resource for evaluating the law schools to which you might want to apply.

UO Mock Trail Recruiting for fall!

University of Oregon Mock Trial is recruiting new members for its competitive season! This is a great opportunity to get involved at the University of Oregon, practice public speaking and critical thinking skills, and even prepare for law school. If you’re interested in honing your writing, public speaking, and critical thinking skills while learning more about the law and working with a team, Mock Trial will give you a glimpse into courtroom procedure.

To learn more about UOMT, come to one of their info sessions – Tuesday (10/1) and Thursday (10/3) in Chapman 220 at 7pm.

Planning to practice for the LSAT this summer? The Law School Admissions Council has partnered with Khan Academy to offer 10 practice tests and over 1000 LSAT practice questions with explanations. This resource is FREE, and can be a great way to determine your baseline score and measure your progress.
