$10,000 Law School Scholarship Opportunity

BARBRI Law Preview and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity have partnered to offer a $10,000 scholarship to help a student pay for the first year of law school.

“One Lawyer Can Change the World” Scholarship details:

  • Complete your scholarship application online.
  • Submit a 500-word essay or less online by April 15, 2018, in response to:
    How you hope to use your law degree to change our world and how would $10,000 towards your 1L tuition change your world?
  • 10 finalists will be selected by Law Preview panelists and will be notified on or before April 25, 2018.
  • Finalists will be announced on lawpreview.com soon after.
  • The $10,000 scholarship recipient will be chosen by Law Preview, and the award will be paid directly to his or her law school. Notification will take place on or before June 10, 2018.

financing_law_schoolThe Equality and Diversity Committee of the Multnomah Bar Association is awarding scholarships for law school applicants who will enhance diversity in Oregon’s legal community. The scholarships will be applied toward a private LSAT preparation course.

Applicants should submit the application by Friday, March 4, 2016, to ensure consideration.

Preparing for Success in Law School: Expert Advice for Undergraduates

This webinar will offer expert advice to undergraduates (and those in the work force) who are in the early phases of considering law school.  MSU Law’s two expert presenters – a highly experienced pre-law advisor from a public flagship university and a veteran dean of law admissions and admission consultant – will address the following topics:

  • Courses, experiences and skills that can provide a strong foundation for success in law school
  • Recommendations for learning about legal careers and suggestions for learning about the costs and returns of a legal education
